We are Echelon Property.

Echelon Property was founded in December 2020 and is the proud extension of the R&A Dean family commercial real estate owner-manager business model that has a proud 40+ year history of investment in South-East Queensland. As a group we own and manage a diverse portfolio of assets across commercial, industrial, retail, build to rent and childcare with 123 tenants.

Echelon Property has grown a team of highly experienced acquisition, development, and property managers together with inhouse planning expertise that continue to acquire, manage, and maintain the family-owned property portfolio. More recently we have formed a full-service property development business predominantly in Childcare and Large Format Retail. The Echelon Property team boasts more than 70 years of combined corporate real estate and financial management experience.

Joseph Dean

Managing Director

Before founding Echelon Property in 2020, Joseph had an unrivalled commercial leasing career of almost 18 years at Colliers International in the role of National Director. His focus was on major pre-commitment leasing roles on new office towers in Brisbane for Australia’s leading institutions and private developers. Joey is known for his ability to formulate a strategic vision and turn it into results. His attention to detail and his infectious follow me attitude leads his team to deliver a superior end product.

Alistair Scarrott

Chief Financial Officer

Alistair is a Certified Practicing Accountant and has over 20 years’ experience both in Australia and the UK across Public Practice, Alternate Investment Houses (Hedge Funds) and Global Financial Institutions. He is a commercially astute leader with an ability to drive performance through development and implementation of financial and commercial metrics and analytics. Echelon relies on Alistair’s strengths around corporate governance, compliance, and organisational accountability to provide comfort and security to all our stakeholders.

Grace Graham

General Manager of Development

Grace has a Bachelor of Urban Development with an Honors in Urban and Regional Planning. In 2018 Grace was a finalist for the Housing Industry Association QLD Housing Awards , Women in Building and Construction. She is a current member of the Urban Development Industry of Australia, Property Council of Australia and a 500 Women in Property Participant. Grace’s 3 notable delivery skills are Development Applications, Design Development and Project Management. We value Grace’s knowledgeable opinion as she has proved her ability to deliver results.

Simon Langdale

General Manager of Asset Services

Simon has a broad range of experience across the development and construction industry spanning 14 years. Having started as a business development manager for one of Australia’s leading construction materials suppliers, he has since worked in procurement, estimating and design management. Prior to joining Echelon, he was the Pre-Contracts Manager for one of Brisbane’s leading prestige builders, Thallon Mole Group. Simon is instrumental in growing the commercial arm of our business.

Alex Leimgruber

Group Property Manager

Alex is an accredited Property Manager having her Certificate IIII in Property Services, and she has extensive knowledge within the sector. She has become an expert in interpreting the Residential Tenancy and Rooming Accommodation Regulation and understanding the Property Occupation Act and Retail Shop leases act. Alex’s organisational accountability is what instils confidence in stakeholders.

Olivia Mifsud

Assistant Development Manager

Olivia is currently a fourth-year law student and is set to graduate in 2023. She has a Certificate IIII in Property Services, and has had experience in commercial sales, leasing, and property management . Olivia assists the development team by proactively coordinating projects. She manages relationships with project consultants, creates project briefs and monitors real-time data and timelines. Olivia is known for her can-do attitude and her willingness to learn.
